#1 Keystone, Colorado

Veronica Dick, REALTOR®

What is your “must-see” vacation destination?

Keystone Colorado is definitely a favorite for us.

What makes you recommend this location?

Making the drive from Bennington Nebraska to Keystone Colorado was a full day’s drive, but so worth the scenery! Once you pass Denver and start the drive into the mountains, you’ll want to make sure your phone is fully charged so you can take full advantage of your camera. I took roughly 300 pictures of nature’s amazing beauty, and could not put my phone down!

Accommodations?

We booked an AMAZING VRBO with Seymour Lodging. The property was at the Gateway Mountain Lodge, near River Run Village, One of Keystone’s premier locations. From start to finish, our host, Richard Seymour, gave us tons of ideas from places to see, tours available, and cool food places to try out. We were able to walk to everything! The River Run Village shops and restaurants were just a few minutes away by foot, and the ski lifts were so close to our Condo. Had it been winter when we visited, we would have had front row views to all the skiers. There are also paved bike paths that start in Keystone and take you to Dillon Lake, Frisco, Copper Mountain, and Breckinridge. We loved how close we were to the other towns, and really enjoyed all the trails and streams nearby.

What’s your biggest recommendation to anyone visiting?

I loved everything about Keystone, but definitely recommend visiting Dillon Lake, which was a 10 minute drive from the condo. We walked a large area of the lake, and found some really cool rocks and driftwood, and got some really cool pictures!

#2 Black Hills, South Dakota

Laura Velez, HRG Marketing

What is your “must-see” vacation destination?

We visited the Black Hills region of South Dakota last year and it immediately became one of our family’s favorite vacations!

What made makes you recommend this location?

There are so many family-friendly activities to choose from and all very close to each other. There are the wind caves, Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, lakes, theme parks, and the Reptile Gardens all within an hour or so from each other. There is something for everyone in the family to love.

Accommodations?

We stayed in a 1-room cabin in Custer State Park. It was affordable, newly remodeled, and had a small kitchen, television, and even a fire ring in the backyard. The State Park made it easy to reserve through their website and there was a gas station and restaurant right next to check-in.

What’s your biggest recommendation to anyone visiting?

We had the Chuckwagon Cowboy Dinner at Custer State Park. Highly recommend. The food was excellent considering they take you out to a beautiful, mountainous spot for dinner. The trip out and back in the wagon was great fun too, with cowboy stories and music. My boys, 6 and 9, loved it and they give everyone a cowboy hat!

#3 Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin

Ashley Jantz, REALTOR®

What is your “must-see” vacation destination?

Our family just spent a week in The Wisconsin Dells, and it was a fun, family-friendly trip!

What made makes you recommend this location?

In addition to great attractions (did you know The Dells are the waterpark capital of the world?), they also have so many great outdoor things to do like boat, kayak and hike.

Accommodations?

We had a 2-bedroom cabin at Christmas Mountain Resort and enjoyed the indoor pool and clubhouse on rainy days.

What’s your biggest recommendation to anyone visiting?

We spent an entire day at Mount Olympus Water & Theme Park, and it's a must if you're traveling with kids!

#4 Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Brian Kays, REALTOR®

What is your “must-see” vacation destination?

My family traveled to Myrtle Beach, SC in March 2022

What made makes you recommend this location?

The scenery was beautiful, the people were friendly, the architecture of houses in stilts was fascinating, the food was delicious (especially the ice cream) and the activities were abundant...It’s also the Putt Putt Golf Capital of the US!

Accommodations?

We found an amazing 3 bed VRBO on the beach for a surprisingly inexpensive price.

What’s your biggest recommendation to anyone visiting?

You have to check out Kirk's 1890 Ice Cream Parlor

I added a great review on Google
